National Cat Day – October 29, 2017 – A Day For All Cats!

National Cat Day for 2017 is rolling around fast. Traditionally taking place every year on October 29, this year it falls on a Sunday so there’s no excuse for not taking part!

The official National Cat Day website gives you some fantastic ideas, 20 of them in fact, on how to take part. The first and most important one, of course, being to adopt a shelter cat if you have the ability and resources to do so.

If adoption isn’t a possiblity for you right now, there’s still tons of ways you can contribute to this important day that exists to promote awareness of the plight of homeless cats, and to encourage adoption and rescue, as well as love for cats and responsible cat ownership.

Volunteering at a local cat shelter or humane society is another way you can take part on this day (and any other day, of course!).
